About Doctor

Dr. Pratap Chandra Jena, MBBS, MS, is one of the leading laparoscopic surgeons in Odisha with more than 31 years of experience in laparoscopy surgery and is currently a senior consultant at Sai Laparoscopic Hospital, Rourkela. He had served as a senior resident doctor at Sunderlal Chariatable Hospital in Delhi from 1991 to 1992. After that, he served as Sr. Resident Surgeon at Dindayal Upadhaya Hospital in Delhi  (1992–1997). Then he joined Sarvodaya Hospital as a consultant surgeon (1997–1999). After which he shifted to Rourkela (Odisha) as a consultant surgeon at Lifeline Hospital, Nuagaon Hospital, CWS Hospital, and Railway Hospital (2000–2012), and currently is continuing his service as a senior consultant surgeon at Sai Laprosopic Hospital. 

His areas of special interest are laparoscopic cholecystectomy, lap appendicetomy, lap hernia, lap ectopic surgery, lap ovarian cystectomy, L.A.V.H., T.L.H., turp for Prostate gland, cystoscopy, structural urethra, ureteric stones, kidney and bladder stones.
